Attended the Abu Dhabi Awards ceremony this evening at the Emirates Palace Hotel. Peter Hellyer, previously Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Islands Archaeological Survey (ADIAS), received one of the awards. I briefly feature in the short film clip which introduced Peter prior to him being presented with the Abu Dhabi Award by H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, and Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

Kuwaiti folklore night
A special folklore night and dinner was organised by our Kuwaiti hosts at the end of the “Kuwait Through the Ages” conference. This was held in the open courtyard of the Museum of Modern Art in Kuwait City.

Qasr Al Hosn Festival
The Qasr Al Hosn festival is currently running from 20 February to the 1st March, 2014, from 4:00 – 11:00 pm daily. For the first time the Qasr Al Hosn fort is open to visitors to explore as it undergoes conservation. It is great to see the Cultural Foundation open again… Check out the “Gahwa” experience in the cafe there!
