J., Beech, M. J., Brownell, R. L. Jr., Stahi, H., &amp; Natoli, A. (2023). Stomach contents analysis of <i>Tursiops aduncus<\/i> and <i>Sousa plumbea<\/i> stranded along the United Arab Emirates coastline. <i>Marine Mammal Science<\/i>, 1\u201312. <a title=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/mms.13086\" href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/mms.13086\">https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1111\/mms.13086<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I analysed and identified the fish sagittal otoliths that were present in the stomach contents of Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins (<em>Tursiops aduncus<\/em>) and Indian Ocean humpback dolphins (<em>Sousa plumbea<\/em>). This revealed that fish which were consumed included Carangidae: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fishbase.se\/summary\/1923\"><em>Carangoides bajad<\/em><\/a>, and Gerreidae: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fishbase.se\/summary\/Gerres-longirostris\"><em>Gerres longirostris<\/em><\/a>, as well as a number of other species.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A new paper has just been published in the journal Marine Mammal Science which I co-authored on the stomach contents of UAE dolphins: Alkhamis, R., Smale, M.
